New Contract With Fusion for Energy on the ITER ECH UL Ex-vessel Waveguides System
On May 3rd, a kick off meeting marked the start of our new contract with Fusion for Energy (F4E).
Aside from working on the Remote Handling maintenance of the ITER ECH Upper Launcher in the ITER Hot Cell Complex, the new contract enables to contribute directly to the maintenance of the ex-vessel waveguide system in Upper Port Cells #12, 13, 15, and 16. The pictures give an impression of how we apply Virtual Reality technology to support the manual maintenance activities.
We are excited to contribute further to the ECRH system and make sure that also the ex-vessel system is ready for its FDR. Overall, this year is a busy period, with the design of ECRH Upper Launcher getting ready for its Final Design Review (FDR), preparing it for manufacturing and its key role in starting the first plasma.
