On the fair there was a ‘RoboNED plaza’ where knowledge institutes and companies showed off their R&D capabilities, supported by live demos. Together with the FOM institute DIFFER, HIT manned a stand demonstrating recent developments in remote handling technology.

Highlights were a demonstration of haptic shared control applied to a challenging peg-in-hole task and the cooperation between two full scale master arms. The demonstrations attracted a continuous stream of interested visitors, who sometime had to queue a bit before taking their turn.
