The new contract allows us to keep supporting ITER and the Japanese Port plug designers (National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries LTD) in the maintainability of the EL plug. Next to the support we are delivering on the RH we will also support the team on any hands-on tasks, whilst ensuring the principles of ALARA. Some “hands on” experience with the maintenance will be gained through the continuous effort in VR. Within the contract we aim to support IO as good as possible towards the Final Design Review (FDR), preparing it for manufacturing and its key role in starting the first plasma.
