Big Day for LCR Systems

On December 15th, various cooperation agreements were signed for the development, prototype production and testing of an autonomous robot that uses a high-power laser to remove paint from aircraft.

On December 15th, various cooperation agreements were signed for the development, prototype production and testing of an autonomous robot that uses a high-power laser to remove paint from aircraft.

The Laser Coating Removal (LCR) robot development project is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Heemskerk Innovative Technology (HIT) participates in the LCR project as advisor to the investors on development approach and development risks. Partners in the project are the LCR Systems, Southwest Research Institute (prototype development), Trumpf (laser), NTS (production preparation) and NLR (certification). The team aims for a market introduction in 2016.
